Got the amg ones

I also got some AMG ones but they are too tight to fit :-(. They do look good.

Welcome to the club , I'm tickled pink by those
( Audi ) etc choosing oem items @ around £70 .

I've never understood the point of those that shine out of the bottom of the door. What are they good for? Mine has them in the wing mirrors (came as standard) and I can see that they might be useful when approaching the car in the dark, but would never have ordered them.

What am I missing?

Hi How do they fit is it just a case of unplugging one and plugging in the other.

Have fitted something similar to the s204, where the puddle light is in the bottom of the door. really like them especially when getting in/out of the car in the dark. Would like to do the same to the SLK, but looks like it's more difficult! I have a couple of pairs of S204 similar puddle lights a member can have for the P&P as well a pair of original S204 puddle lights if of any interest! PM me if interested!

No point whatsoever, Rory, they just look, good. :) 👍

The S204 puddle lights are non existant as it shines with a shared 5W halogen glow worm from a slit of a lense .

I'm sure a brighter 501 LED would improve , but for the money .

Well the original purpose is to illuminate the ground before stepping out, so you can see what you’re about to step into. If you live an urban life that is likely to be less useful.

Thanks for the replie sounds simple, quite fancy some. Thanks again great help

When you open the door.... At night...... When other people are around?:D

I think they are naff.....but luckily we all enjoy different things.....👍
They are an absolutely essential social need for those that have forgotten what car they are driving.;)

Some recent models come with branded puddle lights. They add a little drama, but they’re like other logos around the car, it’s there to make you feel good about the purchase you’ve made.

There are Mercedes, AMG and Maybach logos all over the interior and exterior of modern cars, and we don’t pass comment upon all of those - branded puddle light just add a few more. Vive la difference.

My recent courtesy car had them fitted and I liked them
