Dreaded c249f

Hi everyone,
I have the dreaded C249f code and despite numerous letters,emails etc to MB in Ireland I am not covered under the 10 year scenario..I have given up that fight now and have decided to put a second hand part in instead and hope for the best..

My Car is a 2003 E200 Kompressor Elegance and my part number is
Bosch 0265960012 / 0044319712..

I have located a part from a 2003 E200 Avantgrade with part number
Bosch 0265960035 / 0054319712

Can any one please tell me if the Avantgrade part is compatible with the Elegance..

I think you might be mistaken with the 0044319712 number, EPC shown no number before 0054319712.

There is no model designation for these units.

Have you had the accumulator pressure checked?
