The headlights on my E220cdi (2005) have turned a little opaque. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace just the lenses?

I think I know what he may mean.

Something like this?

Misty in the top photo and clear in the bottom? Two of ours are like this, so I'd be interested in the best method for it. Something like some very fine rubbing paste I believe is what we need.

I had good success with farecla g3 and a polishing machine on the wife's Micra.

Easy solution....

I've used T-cut buffing on previous Toyota Celia, did a good job but once the plastic lens becomes old, it's an annual job, preferably late autumn removing sun damage before winter lighting needed.

Well, all I can say is I actually followed the procedure in the Video I posted on my previous clk because one Headlight was like new and the other really opaque.
Below are the results. And all I did was protect them with a good Wax once in a while which kept them nice and clear.
I like to only give advice on things I have done personally and know they worked when I did it.....

I would like to see examples of the ones that have been done with the Meguiars etc...... Because the examples I have witnessed were terrible!

3M do a decent kit for these.

You need to be agressive, sand away all the damaged coating then polish the lenses back up :thumb:

Certainly not terrible using the Megs kit. I also only recommend products I've used myself.

I used Meguiars restorer, I'd love to have posted a great before & after, but it's a very disappointing kit. Very ineffectual - don't buy!
