DVD Format help please

Getting a new laptop shortly and bought some blank dvd-r discs this evening. I think I may have bought the wrong ones but being a bit computer illiterate can one of you help....Do I need a + format or a - format dvd-r disc? Its for an Acer 9301? Thanks in advance.

Check with your seller, but it appears to be both +/-, writeable/rewritable
