E Class Coupe/Saloon Blue Efficiency Problems

Just to get an idea of how many E Class CDI Blue Efficiency Coupe/Saloon owners are experiencing Injector, ECU or other problems.

Date of manufacture, may help too.

Got a 350 CDi Sport, bought new one month ago..seems fine...although fuel economy is around 30mpg...not brilliant but I guess not bad fro a 3 litre engine with only 1300 miles on the clock, still loosening up

Picked mine up last Tuesday and over the moon with it. 60-65mph on the motorway and getting 45-48mpg.

One of my real concerns was the rumoured ECU problem, but going off this pole, there doesn't seem to be many complaints.

You should have classified the questions a bit differently. Injector issues should not concern the 200 CDI engine but the 220 CDI and the 250 CDI engines only.

I see from the poll that some claim they have had problems with their V6 engines, would have been nice to see those explained, or are they from some BMW owners who do not want to become identified? I guess we talk about the CDI, not the CGI. I've never heard of premature issues on the V6. I guess some of these are approaching such high mileage that wear issues can appear.

That's awful economy.......unless you do short town journeys only...
