Bidders called "Bidder X" bidding on items from sellers named "Seller Y"? Scum!

W124 is a right mess!

PS. Nice shiny, brand spanking new Audi's in the background that have not even been PDI'd! Looks like the W124 is being stored at a Audi vehicle compound of some kind.

Not necessarily dodgy:
As online shopping evolves, eBay continues to focus on preserving our marketplace's open and level playingfield whilst protecting our Community of members. We have decided to change how bid history information is displayed so unscrupulous people cannot target bidders with fake offers using this information. In certain cases, some bidders will no longer be able to see other bidder's User IDs on the listing page. Your User ID will be shown only to you and the seller of the item you're bidding on. Other members will see an anonymous name, such as Bidder 1, Bidder 2 etc.

Full announcement from eBay here.

Walks away:rolleyes: , just too much damage to be an economical repair. But thanks for the thought.
Totally agree. It has had one heck of a bang!

I would say that it looks far worse than it is, half a flitch, a wing, bonnet and headlight and it's back on the road again...

Insurance write off?

Add a possible new front chassis leg+inner-wing +radiator +fan+ cowl+anti-roll bar plus mountings +-------------------I could go on but what's the point?? Its already flagged as an insurance write off. Shame seemed like a clean car before the accident. Non original wheels tho.

Yet another reason not to use ebay any more. If they hide *all* information about bidders, how are we to even guess if they were real or not?

All that's needed is another W124 and a mig, even allowing for the fact it's recorded it could still be a cheap car...

Damage isn't too bad, looks alot worst than it actually is. I would have budget £1500-2000 max for repairs to bring the car back to a very good standard. £6k won't buy a decent W124 cabrio with that sort of mileage, even if its a CAT D.

I would be more comfortable buying a salvage and fixing it myself rather than buy one repaired. At least i know the works done to a standard.
