Hi My Dad has a Mercedes E220 on a T-Reg with VERY low mileage at 23,000 genuine miles - 1 owner from new - He only did 11 miles last year! He is giving up driving and I want to put the car on E-Bay for him.

Does anyone have a realistic idea of the value I should put the car up for considering the low mileage and pristine interior and exterior...?

Any suggestions / advice would be gratefully received...

Many Thanks,

Gary

Hi,

the best way is to search ebay/autotrader etc and see what the others go for.
if its better than the others then adjust the price accordingly (+/- 10% etc.)

roughly £1800-£2000 I would say, depends how nice it is and how much someone wants it

It could be worth way more than that if it's been serviced to schedule and had replacement suspension etc. as needed.

If I was trying to sell such a thing, I'd be talking to Nick Froome, merc-seller, classic-chrome, avantgarde, ironside, ccbenz see how much they think they might get for it through commission sale or if they would take it into stock. Such low mileage is attractive to a certain kind of buyer.

Problem is - if it requires a lot of replacement bushings etc. to make it drive right it might not stack up economically.

This is a w124 ?

If so , presumably it's one of the Indian ones / kits

Ha ha - I think I have made a terrible error...
I missed the "t reg" bit... thinking it was a 124 estate. It's going to be a W210 saloon isn't it.

Yes , I assume it will be a W210

Car and Classic is another good site to try it on .

No it had not it was there when I looked or I would of said it did not work for me either

Is this one of the Indian built 124s? Manual gearbox with aircon and looks to be sitting higher than european ones.

T-reg is March 1998 to March 1999 (from random website - hope it's accurate)
This is quite late for a 124. I've only ever heard of the Indian ones being registered this late.

Gary - Was your father's car originally bought new from TradeSales in Slough by any chance?

It does look to be standing high , but the Indian ones normally came only in white or blue , and I've never seen one with a sunroof .
