I purchased my E Class in June 2010 from Blackburn Mercedes, their sales director had been running the car and it had done 12,000 miles when I purchased it. In mid november I was on the M1 coming out of some road works, I put my foot down and the entire car shook! I reported this to my local dealer ( Skipton Mercedes ) The car went into the garage and I was told there was some issue with the Diesel Partical Sensor. I got the car back and all was fine for about 3 days. I then experienced a drop in performance, basically the car felt like it was running on 3 cyclinders, not 4! Car went back in again, at this time I raised the issue of the injectors, the garage said these had been previously replaced after the well documented issues. In total the car has now been in 5 times, each time I experience the same fault and each time they give me it back with some excuse and a temporary fix that seems to last 3/4 days. My car has now been in over Christmas, just before Christmas the dealers head technician stated that he felt that there was a problem with one of the injectors. Mercedes in Germany have asked the dealership for various bits of data from the vehicle, based on the data they have received they are now replacing the Diesel Particle Sensor!
If im honest I am not technically minded so have no idea if this will fix the problems??
Can anyone give there opinion on the fault???
