Hi guys are the springs in the sport variants lower than normal ones? I think one of my springs may have been replaced for a standard one

So I had a look at this today and have taken pictures of which I think are the standard springs the other higher side has a monroe damper and a kyl spring. I phone my local merc dealer to see whats the differences in spring heights but all they could tell me is that there is 6 different springs available for my car and that he needs the colour code of the oem spring. I have taken a picture of the spring which has yellow strips on it would this be the colour code he was refering too? If so then I can.order the correct spring for my car and replace the aftermarket kyl spring as I believe its the wrong size perhaps suited for a eclass that sits higher

Yes they are

Great thank you do you know if anyone has a list of colour codes and their meanings?

I replaced both front springs on my car after the offside spring snapped when the car was stationary. I noted the colour codes and went to the dealership and bought a pair of springs as it's always better to replace them in pairs, the dealers can work out the correct colour code from the chassis number, apparently it takes some working out or so I was told.

You say the shock has been changed to? These are height adjustable and should be matched to the old one when fitted.

Hi yes one side is fitted with merv shock and spring colour code yellow yellow yellow green and the passenger side has a monroe shock and kyb spring which iam gonna swap the kyb spring for new oem one and hopefully should fix the ride height issue on that side as sits 4cm higher

These are height adjustable and should be matched to the old one when fitted.

I'm referring to the shock, with it apart, spring off the platform for the spring slides of the shock, there is a snap ring with several points to witch it can be fitted, this adjusts the ride height, you might buy a new spring and it will be the same.

Ah right get u now my inly fear now is I would doubt that the aftermarket monroe shock would be adjustable? Therefore new original shock needed?

So are you saying that I can adjust my cars ride height by moving lock ring? And this can only be done once spring is removed from shock?

Standard and after market should be identical yes, all adjustable.
