E280 front suspension rattle

My W124 has started to have a rattle that seems to be coming from the driver side from suspension. Could anyone tell me what could this be? The car is a W124 E280 1995. just 71,000 miles from new.

The correct word is creaking, not rattle. I have been told it is probably moisture in the bearings. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

when does it happen ? turning slowly or going over bumps ? etc etc

Unless you have a broken spring its probably one of the bushes that has worn out. Best to replace them all. You will be amazed what a difference it makes to the feel/handling.

Dry bottom ball joints can also give this problem in my experience, I just had to replace them to confirm it.
