E300 turbo

My trusty e300 210 turbo diesel has started to make a loud rushing noise ,you can hear this from inside the car.
I had the cat changed at a local garage and the noise started a couple of weeks later ?.I removed the air pipe from the turbo , and when reving the engine oil starts to come out, is this normal ,the turbo at full engine revs is so noisy it sounds like a jet engine to passers by not a plodding old diesel.Any ideas would be mostly welcome

The noise could be a leaky intake pipe or intercooler. Earlier cars are known to blow the intake pipe off the intercooler spigot as it doesn't have a flared end to hold the pipe on.
As far as the oil it depends on where it's coming from, the turbo or the pipe from the air filter?

If the cat was not specifically made for diesel engines then it's likely plugged up.
