E43 performance upgrades

are there any uk performance upgrades for an E43 that can be carried out that don’t invalidate the manufacturer warranty?

Used to tune previous turbo type cars until manufacturers could easily detect the work had been done and could start quibbling on warranty claims.

Just a thought for now...

Brabus are the only tuner recognised by MB warranty.

They produced a tuning box for the M276 "400" engine - the Brabus B40 box.

That may work but I'd suggest talking to Brabus first as the E43 engine has a different turbo to the 400 or 450 engine, otherwise it's basically the same.

Brabus tuning takes the engine to around 450bhp and they also make an exhaust specific for the E43 and some cosmetic bits. 60000mile warranteed.

I think that the Brabus website has prices but it will be an expensive option - Brabus always is.

I haven’t done any of these upgrades - the performance of the E43 is fine for me. I bought it because I fancied an eclass petrol estate and I needed a tow-bar. It was the only option in the eclass range!

Indeed, whether it needs it is one thing. If it is warrant proof I will consider it
