I've got an E430, which I've loved owning for four years. However, it is currently off-road and causing me a major headache, which I need help with.

Having recently invested a substantial sum in servicing and welding to get it through MOT, I now find myself in a predicament. The vehicle requires a single radiator pipe, which is currently unavailable from any Mercedes or other sources, blocking its return to the road.

If I can't get this pipe, I'm looking at having to scrap it...and it's way too good to that! ( The kids have had restricted access!! 😃)

If you can help me source this pipe, whether it's from a breaking E430 or if there's a specialist who could custom-make it, please let me know.

Unfortunately, as I haven't made 30 posts, I can't reply to any posts, so I'm not ignoring you!

Thanks 🤞🏾

Are you able to confirm from the following diagrams, the part you need?

I recently sourced a part from eBay US - Breakers

Seeing the following used parts, perhaps these are what you are in need of?

You do not need 30 posts to reply, only to use private messaging and the classifieds section. 👍

Really????.... just for one pipe? If you can't find a pattern one or a good used one there are loads of companies that make bespoke/custom coolant hoses ...mainly in silicone but what does that matter if it keeps your car on the road.

That was my initial thought (and advice) but it’s actually one of the transmission oil cooler pipes that the OP needs.

Ebay sell a couple these a month out of Germany. This one's €216 plus taxes, and will probably be with you within a week or two.

Back in the day, before the Interweb, I used to use Silverlake breakers. They're still worth a look, AND a call if they don't have anything. They may know someone who's likely to have something.

And it's worth looking down the rabbit hole of internet "radiator specialists."

E430's are magnificent motors. The predecessor of the W211 E500, well specified and very comfortable, they usually led a cosseted early life. Worth looking after.

I don't know if a silicone one would be up to the job. Don't get me wrong; the last thing I want to do is scrap it, but I've already spent way more than it's worth and need to recoup some money.

I had bought this one on eBay, however apparently, there was a problem with the courier so it was cancelled and is being returned to seller. I will give Silverlake a try. Thanks

If it's any help and you can widen your search, the same Part# is fitted to a Y2000 W210 E55.
Thanks for the tip. I asked a Mercedes dealer if it was fitted to other models, and he said no, which I did find odd.

It "might" be that it doesn't fit "most" ordinary W210's but does fit the V8's (E430 and E55).

Just a guess. Regardless, the important thing is to seek out the part number.
