e500 2004

Hi guys iam looking at buying a e500. It says it's sports suspension and I assume also air suspension! Is there anything I should be checking when I look at it? As I would think it's rather expensive to put right. Also iam assuming it's got the dreaded sbc so is there anyway to check if that's been replaced or can you get a goodwill gesture from mb to replace it when it finally gives up. Thanks Carl.

There wont be any Good will gesture as its to old, the date is on a yellow label on the side of the pump closest to air intake pipe,
