Hi guys looking at buying a e500 with full history. Is there any problems with these units and transmission to look out for? Thanks Carl.
 
Theres one on autotrader atm 113k fsh estate,

SBC issues, Airmatic suspension, Door mirror harness, its a pre 54 so may need a rad for peace of mind as a batch of early ones can leak into the atf.

All the above is normal early 211 issues, ive been running a s211 e320 cdi for 12 mths and 7,500 miles and absolutely love it. ive changed the rad, rear calipers and general service items.

Thanks for quick reply. Iam really looking for a e320cdi sport around 07 for the right money but as I don't do to many miles the v8 would be nice to. Just a case of weighing up the pro's and con's of both.
 
W211 E500 has the worst of all worlds, SBC, Valeo Rad and Airmatic, a combination of failures will cost more than the car is worth.

Fantastic car though and drives brilliant, as they say if your balls are big enough go for it :D
