Ah, I couldn't see that on my phone! I kept reading the description thinking I'd missed something.

Don`t know which time you mean but the last time on ebay it went for even less than the ^

Saw this last night gents as I was in the area. Nice owner with a collection of fast cars (even a C215 CL69 AMG which I didn't even know existed).

Shame about the car as it's very tired - bodywork has been resprayed all around and the car had an accident on the passenger side in the past and has been repaired. I found rust on the passenger wing and the bootlid.

The front wings are plastic (wtf?!) and the rear suspension is noisy and dodgy (probably not even SLS anymore).

Generally tired all around if im honest. Not much history with it either (service book looked abit dodgy if im honest and hardly any receipts at all) and the engine is not as smooth as a 500 should be (rattles on start and needed to turn over twice). Went for a spin and the engine does pull ok (kickdown works!) and the gearbox changes smooth. The interior is ragged however with all the seats having wear, switches etc not working, heater fans don't work at all and a few other issues (missing buttons here and there).

The owner seemed like a genuine guy with loads of cars as his hobby. He bought it in 2006 and basically had it sitting around until now.

Happy to answer any questions but it was quite late and getting dark so didn't get to see the bodywork in detail.

Re the above, I contacted the customer and got some very iffy responses, ie what's the mileage...response 83,000 miles which is at odds to that shown in the photo.

Then says in the same message that the car has an E55 AMG engine.

Then says needs to sell it urgently as he's leaving the Country

Are we talking about the same car mate? This E500 had 332k on the clock I think.

The responses I got were as a result of sending a message to the seller of the E500.

Only other thought is if his account has been hacked.

I'd advise anyone interested to view this motor - forgot to mention the exhaust is blowing too!
