E500 three pointed bonnet star

Hello, I like the three pointed bonnet star and would like to fit one to my e500 (the cabriolet/coupe does not seem to have as standard?) I note the fixings are not the same as a standard three pointed star. Anyone managed to source and fit? Many thanks

Hi - yes but I can’t seem to source a star with this fixing. They are all slightly smaller with a much deeper base piece.

My mate bought one off eBay......was a straight swap for the flat one as far as fitting goes. Personally I think the raised star makes any Mercedes look really old fashioned....but each to their own.

Just use your lamp oil ,,and message the seller on Ebay ask him if it will fit your car easy- peasy

It's one of my favourite parts but then again, I do drive an S211!

Well i bought the plug and play star . Remove it when i park plug it in before i drive away .
