E53 Remap

Hi

Has anyone had a remap done on an E53. Currently have a 2019 Cab and DMS have said they can tune the engine to 500bhp (+22hp for EQ)

The only tuning firm I found that had a “ready to go” upgrade was a remap through DMS. I’m still yet to have it done, was waiting for my first service and then with the whole Covid thing, just haven’t got around to it.

I did speak with a couple of other firms but they were wanting to use my car as a “trial”. Sorry, but no.

Brabus do a tuning box for the CLS53, so can only assume that it’s be the same for the E53. Haven’t followed up on that yet.

Let us know if you have had any joy as I’m yet to speak to anyone that’s had a remap done.

BTW, Dms were quoting 500bhp (+22) with their remap, up from 435 (+22). Brabus were similar figures.

I spoke with somebody at GAD tuning a while ago who is confident they can remap my E53. I can't remember what the figures were now as I spoke with them before lock down. I am in the same boat as you, first service is in Oct so waiting for that to be done then will probably get something sorted

The other option I have just found is a tuning box from DTUK. Quoting 505bhp and 645NM torque. Crazy figures for £600 piece of kit.

I’ve just checked their website and they only quote 467PS / 565NM. Doesn’t seem that much of a gain tbh. I’ll ring them and see what they say.

On 2020 build AMG 53s it appears that MB have blocked the loop to remap the ECU until it gets cracked again from what I have heard.
