Has anyone used them for a remap on here? Or Celtic Tuning in Newquay? I know PCS recommend them, and we all love PCS, so that's a good thing, but their faecebook page is all diesels and Golfs.
Everyone else here seems to push Acid and MSL - but that means going to Birmingham from what I understand and I've made that mistake before :D

There's a reason, get yourself to MSL.

But what is the reason? That's why I'm asking!
Acid represents several Mercedes/AMG specialist tuners, and MSL itself a Mercedes/AMG specialist. MSL will have tuned more M157 than Celtic will have seen photographs of M157 equipped cars. Celtic are no doubt good at what they do, but for a specialist car many people would personally prefer to use a specialist tuner.

That, and the fact that Acid is a really nice bloke, and looks after his customers.

Good point, well made.

Although TBF; Olly is also a nice bloke, specialist in Merc/AMG etc., and recommends Eco. I was hoping somebody here might have used Eco and could review, to get some direct feedback rather than just how good everyone else is - I mean, it's only mapping, I'm sure they all give a pretty similar result (apart from the file jockeys). Plus it means a 10 minute drive up the road rather than a 3 hour drive into a big city which I don't like :D

Agreed, Olly is is indeed one of the very very best, and I wouldn't hesitate to use Olly/PCS. In fact I've taken my cars to Olly several times, and the journey from me to Olly is almost the complete opposite of you to Acid.

Acid and MSL understand Mercedes AMG (especially M157) engine ECU’s and other tuneable parts inside out, can’t comment on others to be honest

I have driven a C200 Sport 2016 class S205 which has the Celtic Tuning remap (carried out by their Hampshire agent Eco Vehicle Tuning), and the car was totally transformed. Standard figures are 181bhp and 221lbs torque, the remapped car delivered 233bhp and 290lbs torque, making it so much more responsive especially between 2000 and 4000 rpm. The C200 is quite light especially compared to the various diesel versions, as well being far quieter and smoother, and this makes it handle very well whilst retaining a supple ride with good steering feel. Performance-wise it was way quicker than the C250d diesel.

No problems reported after more than a year and over 40mpg achievable on a trip.
