Its all happening today.
Recall 2090008 - replace EGR cooler and update engine electrics Software.
Anyone else had this done?
How long did it take?
Did you notice any difference?
It's a fire hazard apparently.
I quizzed Mercedes about the Emissions Software, as I don't want any of that.
A colleagues VW was ruined afterwards, with performance and MPG down.
Anyway, waiting on a call to get it booked in.

Interesting. There is a certain amount of rumbling on the BMW forums about EGR Valve/Cooler recalls, the underlying suspicion being that it's a 'dieselgate' type thing. Not saying that's the case with MB, maybe just coincidence.....

MB are saying a leaky valve, causing coolant to cause a chemical reaction inside of a plastic manifold. Could cause a fire, 100's of thousands of cars in recall. They are guaranteeing it is not an emissions problem, but a fire hazard recall.
Google backs this up with European Commission Alert Systems and Car Recalls eu.
No way would I let them touch my emissions Software lol !
