My guess -----you have a battery voltage problem. Has you car had a recent spell of inactivity? These new models can drain their batteries in a couple of weeks if sat around. I routinely advocate people buy an intelligent charger and hook it up often.
Other possibility is an electronic fault which has to be diagnosed on a proper STAR system.
Driven pretty much daily. The Hold feature went whilst on a long motorway journey, hit some start stop traffic on the m1. Voltage would make sense though, any hidden menus with the voltage on?
If its driven daily -then possibly a battery problem.
Haven't tried this myself? but might be worth a try if its enabled on UK versions of the E Class coupe ? Battery voltage too low? - MBWorld.org Forums
Thanks, i drove it for about 10miles with the voltage and amperage showing. Volts stay at 13v dead 99.9% of the time. The amps range from -2 to +5, however seems to hover around +1amp.
Sounds like one for the MB Star then, maybe a software upgrade will fix it. I've got another issue which i'm looking to get sorted under warranty so i'll raise it to them then. I'm probably a nightmare customer, things like this bug me
