Hi All, I am experiencing issues with the Ad Blue system. My EML came on and soon after the 'Eng. Start not possible in 400mi', when I checked the Ad Blue Level through the service menu it said 2400 miles remaining. I have been to a garage who have checked on the Snap-on diagnostic tool and the following codes are produced:

P140300 - The control unit 'Adblue' has a malfunction.
P204F96 - The Adblue system (Cylinder Bank 1) has a malfunction. There is an internal component fault.
P13DF09 - The Adblue has a malfunction. There is a component fault.

Car is a W205 2016 C220d.

Some recommended me to do an adblue, erg and dpf delete, but i’m not keen on this plus quote given is around £700 mark. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys. Thank You

Hi, I’ve just had my adblue system deleted due to recurring nox sensor issues even after having them replaced. Stage 1 remap done at the same time. No more adblue issues and car runs perfectly. I have the same model as yours. Better mpg as a result

There are many good reason not to do the 'AdBlue Delete' mod, including environmental impact, legality, and insurance cover, however - the £700 quote isn't one of them.... to fix the current issue will almost certainly cost more. Sadly AdBlue issues on MB cars are rarely simple or cheap to fix.

My advice is to avoid dealers and avoid generalists - the only way forward is to have the car repaired by a reputable independent MB specialist who has Genuine STAR, and who is willing to take on this job (some might refuse to touch AdBlue issues).

Personally, once the car if fixed at least to a level when the EML is off, I'd trade it in.

Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.

EDIT - Did you buy the car from an MB dealer or an independent trader (as opposed to a private sale), and if so, how long ago was that?
