engine cut out

I was driving quite fast and i had a tad bit of fuel left, about 20 miles on the range computer.

As I turned into a bend the engine cut off!!!

couldn't restart it until 5 minutes later but an EPC visit workshop sign came up.

2 minutes later the car cut off again.

Called the AA and they said that there was no fuel in the car.

The computer and needle said there's a tiny bit left and i didn't feel any misfire before and why would the EPC light come up If i have no fuel??

Car seems fine now but for peace of mind will that EPC error code still be logged?

Best to get it checked, could be the crank position sensor on its way out.

The error code will say lack of fuel pressure I suspect. Just monitor it as I just think you ran out of fuel.

I agree, compounded by turning the car, and splashing what was left in the tank away from the pump.
