Engine flush

I wouldn't worry too much about anything, really....

If the oil looks clean, and to the correct level, I would fill her up with premium fuel (or standard fuel with additive) and take her on motorway blast which will also help clean the PDF and fully charge the battery.

After that I would just drive the car normally.

Also:

1. I would inspect the brake discs to ensure that they only have surface rust and that it is fully removed after a few applications of the brakes, and that there's no pitting or persistent rust.

2. I would inspect the tyres to ensure thet are correctly inflated, and have no cracks or flat spots.

3. I would check when the following were last replaced: air filter, fuel filter, ATF, brake fluid, and when they are next due.

I've already driven the car on a long journey the stop start only worked once. I can only presume that its a weak battery or is not sufficiently charged for stop start to work

Everything else seems to be fine, although I plan to replace the brake fluid and power steering fluid

Re the power steering fluid is it 236.3 spec the correct one for this vehicle?

The PAS does not need replacing, unless it has a burnt smell or is otherwise visually defective.

It's hydraulic fluid, and in the PAS application it is not exposed to extreme temperature changes or other harsh working conditions, and under normal circumstances it is good for many years.

Said that, no harm in replacing it, if you really want to. You can simply syphon-out the contents of the reservoir using a leage syringe, then replenish it with fresh fluid - there's no need to fully drain the PAS system (though you could do, by undoing the clip on the lowest hose).

Is it definitely hydraulic fluid? I sent an enquiry to opie oils they suggested this

Fuchs Pentosin PSF High Performance Power Steering Fluid

Also, do you know if there is an option to put child lock on the rear doors?

PAS fluids are 'hydraulic fluid' by definition - it's a hydraulic system...

I actually think you need this one:

Pentosin CHF 11S Hydraulic Fluid

But since my car has electric power steering (takes less toll on the small M274 1.6L engine....), I can't be sure this is what your C250 CGI M271 car needs.
