Engine & Interior Clean Up

With the weather being a bit unsettled I gave the interior of my CLS some attention prior to it going off to be stored.

My go to product for plastics is Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl Care, it can be a bit slick but carefully applied and buffed means it leaves a nice new look to plastics. I gave the leather a quick wipe down with a microfibre and Dr Leather spray.

And before anyone comments on the mats. I still have the OEM AMG mats! :)

I also gave the engine bay a quick clean up. Actually took the vacuum cleaner to it which the neighbours must have really enjoyed watching! haha Again, Rubber & Vinyl Care to give the plastics a clean and shine.

Slightly tweaked picture but thought it looked cool...

Hopefully there'll be a window for me to clean the outside!!

Stored? AMGs are for driving!

Just what I was thinking. I am volunteering, will promise to check the tyres and wash it at Tesco car wash once a month, am sure in the spring it will be running better than having it stored ( note it will allow me to dry store my SLK and keep the mileage very low ) :D

Don't you be stealing my plan haha. The thought of the Tesco wash makes me sad!

I know it's for driving but the problem is I'm simply not getting a chance to do that. I love the car and I love that it's absolutely mint so I intend on keeping it. It will be handy to free up the space on the driveway and also know it's in a nice warm lock up throughout winter. I can still get access to the car that's not an issue.

:)Unfortunately I do not have a nice dry lockup:( so will have to drive my SLK all through the winter

I do have a single garage but I have another car in there, also I'm not sure the CLS would fit in it anyway!

Still think the drivers seat could be cleaner (less shiny);)

Alright alright hahaha :)

I should have gone at it a big more vigorously with the Dr Leather. Wasn’t until I really attacked my E Class steering wheel I realised how effective they stuff is.
