My Mercedes E Class 220d 2019 has a misfire at low revs drives okay on the motorway. I’ve had the injectors taken out checked and replaced. Nothing wrong with them. No lights on – been into Mercedes. Nobody knows what’s up with it

It went it Mercedes chester I told them it’s had a misfire. They said they checked it all out cost me over £600 so I imagine they give us a good check. All I could say is it needs a new engine but they would not tell me why even when I said, but it’s still runs really quiet. What does the star mean

New engine required but no reason!!?? I think after departing with £600 Id be wanting a bit more info than that!! Low compression? Worn bores/rings?. How many miles has it done?

It’s done 170.000 but is not noisy runs like a dream I’ve 20 mph No light on dash i’ve also been to 2 independence Mercedes garages and they can’t find anything either. I’ve had the injectors taken out checked and there’s nothing wrong with them.

W213/e220d means it's an OM654 engine - could the misfire be related to various camshaft wear issues these engines can suffer from?

Well it was a main dealer so I would’ve thought so if that’s the best one, but it’s showing no faults on the dash it just says it has a misfire

There are a couple of MB Indi ‘s not far away from you , I would take it to one of them .
You will find them listed if you search the forum

Look under section headed Mercedes Specialists across the UK
