Helo.im new to the form
I drive a lexus is200 im looking to swap a om606 in to it.
I work for mb for 3 years so i no how strong the engine can be.
How hard is it to fit a manual gear box to this engine.
Looking for big bhp i have a turbo from a 9 liter volvo engine but not sher if it eny good for this swap.
Not sher wat all i wood need for this swap but if eny of yous can help thanks

Welcome to the forum.

If you're going to uprate the BHP you'll need something that will take the power. A 717.450 Getrag or the six-speed from a late E Class would do and both will fit. Dump the DM flywheel for a sprinter single-mass conversion. This is the Getrag. Turbo might be too big in terms of lag. You'll need the manual pump from a non-turbo engine and it can be uprated to 7.5mm elements by Dieselmeken in Sweden (among others but he seems to be the expert). "any of yous yins" You're not Scots by any chance? :D

Stick to the mb 6 speed gearbox, that is smaller than the supra box and will work with the is200 gear lever.

Do you know the model of turbo you have?

Do you no th gearbox number.

The scania turbo is a gt37, not a bad turbo for an om606. Still need a pic of the holset data plate to identify the volvo turbo but I'll guess it's a hx40.

Cool :thumb:

No was looking ther and only have a turbo for a scenia.the volvo one only has a small pleat on it think its be a referbust turbo.

Both turbos are big enough to see over 500bhp, though I would expect that they wont spool up till around 3000rpm.

The old daf 45 had a hy35 that is a good cheap turbo for 400 odd hp.

Wow cool skills to change the engine! Took me two days to change the coolant and the oil!

You could always fit an eaton m112 to remove the turbo lag...
