EQ Boost Issues

Looking to get a used E53 saloon during the course of this year. As you know it’s fitted with the EQ Boost motor.
Has anyone had any issues with these ?
I’m thinking longer term as I would keep the car a few years.

There was a recall on the hv batteries, but I would have though it had been sorted by now.

Thanks Alex. My Indy reckons stick to an E43, less to go wrong but I feel they are are a bit old now as the youngest are 2018s.
What’s your opinion?

I think they are both much of the same. We repair the batteries etc but I'd test drive both and buy which you prefer. The 43 is a tested engine

Hi Steven.

The 63 is too hard on the road compared to the previous 212 we had. I know the new 63 is much better but don’t really want to pay that much for one when we already have the M5 Comp too. The 53 I think is a great blend of everything you’d want.
