I had a Mk1 Turbo and two RS1600is when I was a 'yoof'. I have very fond memories of them. Doesn't help you but it's nice to reminisce.

Oh dear, he must have parked it in the sun as the bodykit has melted....

Awful :(

Hare lip front
Skirt in knickers rear

I am struggling to find a single redeeming feature except for the the actual craftsmanship required to build such a monstrosity!
Thats a lot of work thats gone to waste. In a couple of months the fibreglass will have cracks in it, bumpers will get caught on speed humps at Maccy Ds and it will look a real mess

One day they will learn - fortunately my teenage son has taken a leaf out of my book and he reckons the filler, bling and wheels will have seriously slowed it down - not to mention the boot full of subs!

I will never be able to get fast fords out of my system, currently eyeing up this:

Ford : 1991 escort rs 2000

Never really 'got' these MK5 RS2000s, although I admit that in my teens I'd probably have liked one.

Were never really very quick (about 150bhp?) but heavier than the old-school escorts.

An RS1600i was probably 'the one' out of the old-school FWD ones IMO, less chavvy and rarer,

Shame how so much cash gets pumped into some of these cars but in all the wrong places :o

Yup, complete bag of spanners really. But, when i was 17 all i wanted was an RS2000.

Had to get by on a B reg 1.6 in green and beige, lovely

Happy days. :D

That must have cost an absolute fortune to build.

I actually like it not becasue its good looking, but for the detail, ie its finished well etc.

As for macd i drive past the local one several times most nights and there are always cars and people about which fascinates me.

they do a 4x4 RS2000.... rare and fetch good money though.

been bought up with fords, mum and dad have always had them in their younger days some of the quick ones. sierra 4x4, rs1600i, xr3. always liked the mk3 escorts. was tempted to get one of them as a daily instead of the c class but after driving the fiesta for 2 years.. a bit of comfort was in order.

this is my other toy not sure if i've posted it on here before... if your into your old fords hope you enjoy :)
