Did you watch it? The 4.0 tt was its only redeeming feature.

Every time I visit this forum I find posts from you talking up the W204 vs W205. You’ve really got a bee in your bonnet, strange man.

Watched it last night. Not a good show for the SL 55. I don’t want to prove myself right (well maybe a bit), but when it was announced that the new SL would replace both the SL and AMG GT Roadster I was concerned that it wouldn’t be a great SL nor a great GT replacement. Seems that Evo made a similar conclusion.

Shame you chose the wrong c63, do not worry we can't all be perfect slim.

Love supercar slaying toyota GR offerings -epic !!!
It would have been nice for the GR to win. They all loved it, and it was completely different to the cars in first and mount third. In reality there’s little to choose between the Maserati, McLaren and Ferrari.

Yes i am on the waiting list for a gr yaris, been a huge fan since it was launched

To hear the mc20 being a modern f40 was bloody impressive, i saw them at goodwood and they looked ok if a tad bland.

Raj has a GR Yaris, the crew at CAS love it. I don't think you'll be disappointed with purchase 👍

The GR86 is more interesting to drive than the GR Yaris.

I get the EVO magazine and reading it through I thought the GR86 was going to win. They talk about things that aren't so good on the MC20 like brake feel etc but there was not one bad word about the GR86. Should have won and it did for quite a few of the testers.

Shame barely anyone can buy one

I read somewhere the gr86 is more of a Subaru BRZ platform. No idea if it borrows the Subaru engine. The Supra has I believe a BMW engine.

Glad I'm not the only one. He even described the W205 as being 'better suited to females', strong Andrew Tate vibes going on there....

I've had C63 C204, C63 C204 Black, C63 C205 PFL and now the C63 C205 Final.

So I speak with experience. The C205 is the better car by a mile in almost all respects.

The 205 is a LOT faster, the engine has so much more torque and flies from low down unlike the 204 which needs some revs. It steers far better with more feel and rides better too, a lot more composed over poorer surfaces. The 9sp box is light years ahead.

And then there's the interior. If you think the 205 is dated then the Atari era 204 is prehistoric.

I did love the 204 Black but it was really compromised as a road car on anything less than perfect tarmac. The coil over suspension was rock hard so that it skipped along an average B road and couldn't put any power down.

Of course the 204 wins on sound but you'd have to be a much younger dude to let that outweigh all its weaknesses.

P.S. For those who haven't watched it, the SL lost on its weight and vague setup. The AMG 4.0L TT was its only redeeming feature. Hopefully the forthcoming new AMG GT can fix things.

There is no forthcoming AMG GT, that's the point. The SL has replaced itself and the GT.
That's incorrect, the new GT is coming in 2023. It's all over the internet, check out RBR for a start. The SL has only replaced the GT Roadster.
