Ex-Nigel Mansell S600L

May have an impossible to diagnose whine in the cockpit.

Cheers,

Gaz

And it's up for offers on Ebay ...

Not directly related, but... I once met a gentleman called Nigel who owned a golgen Rolls Royce with the plate N1GEL.

Rumour had it at the time that he bid on it against Nigel Mansell and won.

That was over 20 years ago... according to the DVLA this plate is now on a yellow Diablo.

Don't see many of those 'golgen' Rollers these days...

Just as long as he didn't drive it like he drove a touring car...

I had a Sherpa van originally owned by mansell. Had a strange bulge in the middle area :)

Absolute P.o.s , worst van I've ever driven

Comparable to Michael Crawfords S500

How much?

The same kind of money that Michael Crawford's S500 went for, earlier this year (including fees). But

a) Michael's chauffeur would have been WAY gentler on his motor

b) It's a V12 and we all know how challenging they can be if not maintained properly.

Surprised he didn't get a S55

"Retired satellite communications engineer, Nigel Mills , the proud owner of the perfect Nigel number plate, ‘N1GEL’, originally missed out on buying it at auction when it sold for £78,000. Years later, with much deeper pockets he bought ‘N1GEL’ for almost £80,000 in a private deal. It is now estimated to be worth around £100,000".

Soinds about right, I think the figure of £60k was mentioned at the time (1996) but I am not sure.

Regardless of who owned it these cost a fortune to maintain and I don't see anything "designo" on this one.
