Fast C200

I thought that was strange and seemed too high then I Googled and found quite a few C200's with a Vmax above 155 mph

Well you live and learn

A standard C200 (W204) should be able to just about make 155

Knowing how much road you need to get up to 155mph in a 63, one has to wonder quite how far the driver had to travel to eek out the last few mph

Quoted top speed for the W204 C200K was 146mph (manual) and 143mph (auto), while the C200CDI numbers were 133mph and 132mph. Like I said, I wonder who tuned it? :dk:

The 156mph highest on the A1(M) Sawtry, Cambridgeshire is no surprise at all, there's a good five mile stretch that's four lanes, very straight and wide open.

The most I've ever done there was 71mph.

I've gone upto 140 in mine before running out of road, I can't see 150-155 impossible in a c200 surely? I haven't looked into my predicted figures for my model

I think the top for mine is 143mph, i'll find out in July on the Autobahns :D

On November 12th I was stopped doing 206mph on the M40. I received only three points and £60 fine.

Oh this isn't the Walter Mitty thread sorry :D

W204's are very efficient aerodynamically. The drag coefficient of the W204 blue efficiency is so low that even the C180k has a top speed of 143 MPH

Don't feel too guilty about flouting the law that way, it was obviously a momentary lapse and with speedo errors you were probably quite legal:thumb:

I once managed to screw an indicated 130 out of a petrol B180 on the autobahn, somewhere south of Frankfurt down a big hill. Tuned by Sixt.. :D

Cheers,
