I've got a 2009 E350 CDi coupe with only 72k miles that I got cheap off a mate a couple of years ago and only really gets used to pop to the gym or do a food shop as I work from home. Not ideal for a diesel I know.
My engine light has started to come up with fault code 148a00, which my code reader says is "The number of times the regeneration of the diesel particulate filter was performed is too high".
The 1st time I reset it, put 2 bottles of Wynns DPF cleaner in the tank and then took it down the motorway for 90 mins. And it was fine for a month, but then came back. So I did the similar, except the drive was only an hour, and now a week later the light is already back on.
Is this the DPF itself, or a sensor, and what are my options?
