Hi,
I have a faulty SAM module, with a rh DRL fault. My question is, what else does it control? My hill assist doesn't seem to work (automatic gbox) and my parktronic sensors see objects , register in the led bars, but don't sound until 5 bars when I'm dangerously close - so not much use tbh. Anyone else had similar?

Hi,

Firstly the parking sensors are like that. Here is my video on the subject (just noticed I made 9 years ago, where does the time go!)

How do you know you have a front sam fault?
You don’t say what model you have, but generally the front sam controls the front ish area of the car and acts as a power distributor to other modules also.
So engine, headlamps, wipers, dash items and so on.

Hill assist? Yes could possibly be related.

Front sams normally fail due to water ingress from not clearing the wiper drain holes.
Could do with more info really to help you better.

SAM module!!! Argh......like PIN number or VIN number.......NO! ....................Signal Acquisition Module Module!!:D

Anyway....I'm bored at work as you can tell.....back on topic!!!
