first time owner - 300SE advice please

hi, I've driven pretty much every type of 190 and 300, and have just looked at a 280SE which at 321,000km was very tired . I am now going to look at a decent 300SE with 260,000km for a good price. I'd appreciate any advice on the following: how do they perform compared to 280SE? Do they have any more "get up and go" than the 280 which I would consider "just adequate"; dare I suggest economy? I do tend to drive quite hard, can I expect mid-20mpg or am I deluded :bannana: ?? comments appreciated ! cheers

hello fiatracer, nice to have a new potential owner here, you will find really helpful Merc owners frequent this MB. You will find the 300SE goes quite a bit better than a tired 280SE so I hope it suits your needs. cheers.
