So I’m new to owning a car I care about, and I’m new to owning a merc.

Here’s my first attempt at restoring some shine.

I just used g3 stuff from Halfords.
Any tips for future? Products you swear by?

(I think the paintwork will need redoing in future, but that’s for in the next year or two).

Hi and welcome

I take it you are polishing by hand?

G3 is brilliant stuff, but if you are trying to polish large areas, you would get a better result with a polishing machine.

Yes I’ve done it by hand. Never again 🤦🏼‍♀️

I shall be purchasing a machine, any recommendations?

Hi and welcome if you have never used a buffing machine before you would be safer to use a DA /dual action machine

Detailing World is a great resource for car cleaning. Loads of reviews and advice.

Go for a radon orbital one, as there is less chance of burning the paint and polishing through on body lines.

Sorry for confusion
