hi I had a quote today for a remap on my Vito 108 cdi.as it’s the same engine as a 110 cdi and i think the 112cdi but dimmed down the stage 1 remap will put it to just shy of 150bhp.but I’m wandering with the big gain with no actual cooling it’s going to be hot and cook Wich i don’t want to happen.
So I’m asking has anyone fitted a front mount intercooler to a vito and what does it involve.can I use the manifold I have now or do I swap for the 112 cdi manifold as they have intercoolers to allow me to join a fmic onto.much help and views on this required.i have seen one on google fitted.thanks
Picture is what I’d like to achieve with the fmic

Has anyone got a detailed diagram or know where I could find one of the pipe setup.or could any 112 Vito owners upload a picture of what there engine bay looks like with the intercooler hoses.thank you

Looking on google it’s a subject that many people have asked before on here and the other mb forum but haven’t actually got a answer or not updated that they have or not.i spoke to the remapping company who gave me the quote and they have said that you wouldn’t need a fmic fitted if it hasn’t got one but you can do it if you like.i haven’t actually been able to get out and look properly to see if I have one as my model is the late version before it went face lift so may well have one.evenbif it has I would be upgrading it to like the picture as I like the way it looks.

It almost certainly will have one - so just stick a fake one up front. And save messing up the engine's running (turbo lag, black smoke, etc).
