Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post about this so excuse me if I'm mistaken.

My car came with missing "mud flaps" for the front wheels. It also exposed some electrical connections which I figured may affect how the car acts funny at high temperatures (turns off/won't shift to higher gear). Is this possible?

I'd like to know the part numbers for this and if possible a rough price. Thanks.

is the left one missing too?

I could be wrong, but judging by those photos I think you are missing the entire plastic wheel arch liner :( Hope I'm wrong, and I wouldn't know how much they cost either.

You are missing what the parts dept describe as "sh*tguards"!

My car was missing one of them too when I bought it.

offside/driver's side: A2026982830 : COVERING : EUR 11.62

as for the other side of the car, I took a guess at this:

A2026982730 : COVERING : EUR 11.62

it certainly sounds correct but my EPC ain't working at the moment for reasons unknown so I can't look it up! :(

Good enough for me, I'll be heading to the dealer asap.

I can't believe I drove two years without these :-/

Thanks.

You could fit them yourself if you could be bothered, it's possible without removing the wheels. What I'd do is get them fitted next time anything has to be done with the wheels or brakes at a garage :)

You will also need to order the correct screws/bolts, I can't find a part number for them though :( . The stealership will know :)

I had these exact bits of plastic replaced on my facelift W202 recently -- the originals had snapped off one of the mounting, came slightly forward and as result the tyres scrapped against them when reversing on lock.

Each side cost £10 incl VAT from the stealership. I was going to try to fit it myself but took it instead to my mechanic. Luckily I did, there were about 6 bolts I think 2 of which were in quite inaccessible places. It didn't seem easy to me, and the front wheels came off.

Thanks guys, I installed them yesterday. The C180 '98 model has the tires covering split into two parts, upper and front. I went to get the front one on the left and had it installed (1$ installation fees :D) Then I figured, what the hell I'll get the rightie too since they really close on the lower side of the engine and prevent water/dirt from entering. Turns out the stealership didn't have the right side part and I had to wait for 3 hours for them to bring it. Third trip to the stealership and they had it waiting.
Price:
15$ Left Side
15$ Right Side
14$ Wiper blade
and
30$ driving ticket as I U-turned illegally (only the third time did I get caught :(
