Hi,

If anyone is interested in buying my 2001Y S320 CDI (W220) as either a project or for parts, please DM me. The car runs sweet as a nut and all electric/electronic bits (including COMAND) work perfectly. Bodywork makes getting this past its next MOT marginal value for me but maybe not someone who knows what they're doing.

Sorry for this late reply to your queries. I will try to take and add photos this weekend. I've been offered £1125 part ex by McCarthy Cars (Surrey) but the car I went there to look at had already been sold. My S320 CDI needs the steering rack and 3 suspension arms replacing and some welding. I've been quoted £529 for steering rack and suspension arms and a maximum of £250 for the welding although (likely to be less). The offside door trim is also badly scratched but can be 'smart-repaired'.

Sorry again for the late response to your queries, to which I'll address collectively in this thread. Got snarled up in London both ways yesterday with the Ride event so didn't have chance to take photos or scan the MOT failure sheet. FYI, my current preferred option is to px the car as I've had a couple of offers (highest £1150), which I admit is substantially more than the car is worth considering what's required to get it past its MOT. If I can't find something I really want to replace it with in the next week or so, I'll happily accept maybe £500. I'll endeavour to add photos and MOT failure sheet in the next couple of days.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the 'radio silence' but I managed to find the car I wanted (Lexus RX450h) and managed to get £1200 for my S Class as part exchange, which is far more than what it's worth with the work it needs. I wouldn't dream of trying to get more for it by palming it off to you guys on the forum as I think you are the greatest.

Unfortunately, the car I'd agreed to part exchange my S-Class against is about to be written off after damage from a break-in at the seller's lock-up. Anyone still interested in buying it? MOT & tax both have expired. Will post pics and scanned MOT failure sheet a.s.a.p.
