Formula 1 2025

So I hope that answers his question as to wether causing a deliberate collision matters or not, but I’m not holding my breath:doh:
Past experience suggests that he will fail to accept that his actions have consequences, and instead whinge about it being unfair.

Maybe, just maybe Max is totally outdriving (mistakes and rages aside) that car. It seems that those that were once promoted, then demoted seem to do better in the sister teams cars?
Listening to Nico’s observations from the weekend, it seems that the Red Bull is currently almost undriveable right now. The back end is struggling for grip all the time and the front-end unpredictable. Max is able to manage it by making constant micro adjustments. Finding a ‘junior’ driver with the similar ability has to be a challenge.

IMHO, the team need to sort their car out as I think they’ve gone down some sort of rabbit-hole on setup, where they need an extraordinary driver to get any decent level of performance. I’ll be a little surprised if Max is driving a Red Bull next season.

Hadjar is showing tremendous talent, I hope that he continues to improve. Dropping him into Tsunoda’s seat would not do anyone any favours.

If they give him a car that works, Tsunoda can pedal it.

Agreed. But I often wonder if Perez was ditched because they thought he was underpar compared to the young uns.

Shame we’ll never know what the existing top drivers would make of the RB.

I think it is more than just the car. The pressure, the toxic environment and the reputation of that second seat all serve to unsettle the drivers.
I have learned many times that a happy driver is a quick driver and many of the elements at Dead Bull are all set to do exactly the opposite.

Perez was undervalued by Red Bull and probably not as malleable (by Helmut for example) as the youngsters. That said, he did bring a lot of money with him.

As you say we’ll never know how another top-level driver would match up to Max in the same car, his management team seem adept at making sure that doesn’t happen.

Right or wrong, it’s great for the sport that McLaren have 2 - No.1 drivers (for now). Be great if they allow them to race for the rest of the season.

Agree, though I think there will come a point in the season where Piastri is nominated No.1 driver, especially if there is a clearer threat from a team behind. To avert this, Lando needs to pull his finger out on a Saturday.

I think Lando would definitely benefit from a Sports psychologist. This habit of publicly beating himself up isn’t helping, and his rivals feed from that behaviour. He should have a meeting with someone like Seb Vettal.

Yes, a worrying trait that needs sorting asap.

I totally agree. He is a fantastic driver but he’s got too soft a centre to win a world championship. I do think his time will come but then there are so many excellent young (and less expensive) drivers just waiting on a chance for that drive. Running two number one drivers will be tricky for McLaren and unfortunately for Lando, Piastri is proving to be more consistent and resilient.
