So after a few months of trying to get these snail to spawn, I found out that the problem wasn't the water, the food nor me... it was the snails!
They were still babies!
Now I have an aquarium FULL of them! So much so, that they aren't staying under the soil mixing the beneficial things for plants, but they are starting to crawl up my glasses looking for algae!
Time for some to go, I've set the trap in the tank, and tomorrow I'll have loads...
That said, I know I will be removing snails for the next 2/3 weeks!
If anyone wants some snails, you can either collect or I'll mail them once the strike ends - free! I just feel so bad killing them!
