So it finally happened, one of the bulbs in lower left side corner in instrument cluster fried causing my outer temp not to illuminate.
This is on a LHD car.

What is the easiest way to replace this bulb?

#
I have the MB tool hooks to insert in the gaps between dashboard and cluster?
If I take this route dashboard could get damaged with scuffs or scratches because it's very tight, seem to be risky business?

# Remove steering column under tray, inserting my both hands back of the cluster and carefully trying to push it out?

# Or trying to find the fried bulb by inserting my hand back of the cluster bottom corner fiddling in the dark?
Seem like a difficult task?

I asked dealership, I was told this was a two hour job, disconnecting battery, removing steering wheel etc etc.
Very pricey job from dealership replacing bulb.
One bulb cost approx £6 quid.
Job approx £350 to 400 quid?
