Fault code B1C1113 head restraint malfunction.
Fault found (easy repair). Hope this helps others. The above fault and warning lights appeared on my E350, 2013 merc coupe (UK right hand drive). Appeared to happen after I had a couple of rear passengers who obviously disturbed a fault waiting to happen.
Fault refers to front (N/S and O/S). Throws a red airbag warning dash light and yellow warning messages for front left and right seats on the dash.
Fuse number 37 (bronze coloured 5amp) very bottom left corner as you look at the fuse box in the boot area.
As you open boot fuse box is located on the right, drivers side (o/s/r) for uk vehicles, just behind the rear light cluster and behind the cloth access panel.
Before replacing the fuse which in my case had blown, check both seats main wiring harness (woven cloth material) under each of the drivers and passenger seats at the rear footwell area as they are prone to catch on the metal seat mechanism when lifting front seats forward.
My vehicle had the passenger wiring loom worn through and two slightly cut wires baring copper wire which obviously touched each other blowing the fuse and throwing the warning light on as passengers entered the rear and disturbed bare wires causing the short and fuse to blow.
Harness carefully opened up enough for me to repair bare wires and re insulate with tape to secure the wires and harness.
New 5amp fuse replaced in the boot and All warning messages and lights removed from the dash panel.
Hope this helps others time and money with similar faults.
Thanks.
