Front left malfunction Consult workshop

Still having hope :)
Started the second day after the error been cleared without the message in the dash :):):)

in the manufacture of car seats there are 'A' grade processes on the production line and all relate to safety.
Picture a conveyor belt (chain actually) single lane production line with 30/40 seats on it all in various states of construction starting from bare frame to finished article.
At each stopping point a process is carried out that can be from knocking a few bits of plastic in with a mallet to a very sensitive electronic checks linked to a central computer logging that the process is complete and the seat is 'safe' these are (normally) called 'A' grade processes .
Line operators on the 'A' grade receive more training that the others on the line and wear different coloured clothing to identify them so they can not be swapped around on line.
'A' grade process is always related to safety , airbags, seat belt receiver fixings etc. The seat occupancy is an 'A' grade process.
The failure of any 'A' grade test stops the production line dead, no other failure does this as they can be overruled by the line supervisor, But a failure of an 'A' grade requires more checks at a higher level before the seat (and all of the others on the line) can move on.

The attention to these 'A' grade procedures is absolute and minutely documented. The electronic torque wrenches are constantly monitored by software every time they tighten a bolt (up to 800 times a day) the tightness of the bolt can be tracked down to an individual seat years later if necessary. The main reason being cited as driver/passenger safety the second being massive worldwide recalls to fix faults (£££) and even bigger mass action legal battles with customers (mainly from the USA)

There are many other parts of the process I could mention but you get the picture. Seat manufactures take seat occupancy monitoring very seriously.

If you feel comfortable overriding an 'A' grade process with a bit of wire from E-bay..go ahead.

I was just thinking, definitely I will not do that...

Have you considered a new/different seat, breakers yard, would that be cheaper?
