Hi everyone looking for some help I have a 319 2014 sprinter 642 engine when under load I get cel and limp mode, star codes are low fuel pressure P0087FB and high fuel pressure P0088FA no other codes, I've changed the hp pump, fuel filter, rail pressure sensor, before I changed these parts I was just getting low fuel pressure now i get both, any ideas?

Usually you get an underpressure so metering unit opens to get more fuel in, then it overshoots and you get an over pressure.
If you looked at live data you'd see this.

That fault description sounds like a quantity balance issue, ie HP pump out flow rate is greater than the supply rate. So first step would be to check the supply things like filter and LP pump.

The HP pump out flow includes; injected quantity (you know if that's not OK as you'll have some other symptom, smoke, instability etc), pump spill and injector leak off. So as mursum1es said, injector is an easy test. Certainly something to do before a replacing pump.

Thanks for the info I've check LP pump pressure and that's at 3.2bar at idle, within range, if I do a leak off test at idle iam sure it will be ok as it starts quickly,
how could I check the leak off under load as this is when it goes to limp mode, and same with LP pump
Thanks Rich

Leak off is about comparative flows. At idle the HP pump can deliver way fuel more than is required, so if leak off was slightly worse it would be ok. At higher load where you have max fuel demand and a high pressure demand, there isn't the same spare capacity. So as long as something isn't haemorrhaging fuel, it will always be worse under higher loads.

There is a good chance it's not the injector leak off, but as relatively simple test, it's worth ruling out.
Some items aren't so easy to test, so if you can rule out as much as you can as see what's left.

On fuel supply only real indication is by monitoring the pressure under load, if it drops, there's a supply issue.
HP side, assuming you've ruled out the pump as it's new, that leaves injectors, quantity and pressure control valves.
Thought on injectors, the ZFC fuel trims should be big negative numbers if you had a dodgy injector actually overfuelling.
If problem only happens warm or cold may help point to quantity control or pressure control valves. When cold, QCV is open, pressure is controlled by PCV. When warm both are used. Other than that to you need a decent diag to test them.

Perfect thanks for your help will investigate and post my results

So finally had a warm day so I did a leak of test, all injector leak off flows are the same only difference i had was on no3 but its marginal so i think it's ok?

Better pic so no3 was slightly down on 1,2
