Gearbox Issues

Help needed. I have a 2016 E350 (9 speed auto) and have recently added "Redex" to the fuel (Full tank).Within a day, the car went into "limp mode" and the code given on the ODB refers to `possible contaminated fuel`. I have run the vehicle to flush through the Redex and topped up with new fuel. I have removed the fault code but the problem remains. The car changes gear at 2750 rpm and does not use all 9 gears. I cannot use manual mode, only sport and economy. I have tried the gearbox reset but again no success. Has anyone else had the same issues? if so, any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I think the Redex addition will be coincidental to the fault code......its almost at homeopathic levels of concentration in a full tank and loads of people use it with no issues. Water in the fuel perhaps? All that said and I'm sure its not the issue......but officially Mercedes don't approve ANY oil or fuel additives for use in thee cars....Do I use them?....yep!....there is Redex in my 350 CDI right now and I've been given a litre of Dipetane by a mate whos defected to the dark side (EV!)....so I'm going to use it (its free!) and report back my findings.

EDIT....Oh....and Welcome!!!

I have the E400d. Had the problem of the gearbox not changing up through the gears. A fuel/exhaust sensor was changed. Solved. Car only had 4000 miles on clock.
