I recently visited a mercedes dealer and a local independent for the engine light that came on my 2013 E300 Hybrid. The independant gave me 2 fault codes regarding my transmission which were P060C00 (internal control unit fault) and P087000 (oil pressure sensor switch C fault). I was advised to change the Gearbox ECU only.

After I took it to Mercedes who have given me the same fault codes but have told me I need to change the valve body and Ecu which costs significantly more.

Anyone here can help me please?

Thank you for your time.

Why not just change the ECU at the indy and see if it solves the problem? (if the indy is trustworthy)

If it doesn't get Mr Mercedes to do it?

How much are we talking about here?

Hi, I have the same problems with the exact DTC codes. Did you manage to fix the issue and if yes, any suggestions. Thank you

Hi Safi and welcome,I am afraid this sometimes happens when a new member posts a problem and then does not come back with how the fault was fixed,I would give the guys who run these E300 to see this thread they may well be able to help,I was going to buy the same car until I started to read that they had a number of problems,if nobody come back to this then start a new thread.

Hi, Thank you. The only option I have is to take it to a local garage who quoted me £1500 to replace both ECU and valve body.

Well is this local garage a MB indy or is it the MB main dealers,at least the cost seems to have gone down over the last few months, but still a big bill.

It’s a Mercedes Indy specialist located in London

Hi,

Issue was fixed by changing the valve body and gearbox Ecu which does cost around £1500 with a specialist. However after 7 months issue came back, my suggestion. Stay away from Mercs

Hello. I have faced this issue.
Engine light comes up and goes on next day.
Sometimes it shows reverse not possible consult workshop. But car runs smoothly
Dealer says to replace ecu. Should i wait some more time? Thanks
