It is something I looked at before but apparently its a heck of a lot more work than the engine from a c36

Yep agreed. Currently is worth more in parts and will still be worth more in 12 months times when the MOT runs out

Break after that period and it will be a free car for the year (minus running costs of course)

About 18 months ago, it looked like this, was good inside, wasnt tired, wasnt nowhere near as rusty as other W210's and the engine was still very punchy! and I sold it for £1300 I think.
