Hi folks, back to MB after a brief foray with VW….was canny but needed a V8 in my life hence the GLC63…what a car!

I purchased a 2019 model from MB Coventry on 19’s with 21k and nearly new Michelin Latitude Sports 3s all round, drove back to Newcastle today and I’m impressed with the general ride and low noise but between around 75 and 90 ish I can hear a load thrumming/drumming noise and that car may feel a bit rougher too which kind of ‘cycles’ every 40 seconds or so, It’s worse on rougher may sections but never goes away, it may be worse when turning left hinting at OSF tyre, bearing perhaps being the cause? All tyres are at 38psi which is too high for the light load of two adults and kids, a contributor perhaps?

also, the dash rattles at top probs the plastic strip between screen and dash top cover on certain surfaces and seems connected to the tyre noise, cars under warranty so will throw into stealer but wondered if you folk had any ideas please, many thanks in advance!

I would get the wheel balance checked, and while the wheels are on the balancer ask them to check the tyres for flat spots. If it has sat on the dealers forecourt for a while they can develop flat spots, but only at the bottom ;)

Cheers for reply, tyre pressures all over the place but don’t thin that will fix it, will do as suggested thanks for the advice

Problem after purchase .You do need to return the car to them , and get them to fix iot . Ypu dont know what is wrong and it could cost you £1000 .Are you going to fix it yourself ? i would not .
