Good alternatives for tapping into positive wire

Hi,

Just looking for some good alternatives to soldering to tap into a positive wire. This is for audio purposes. I got the headunit command main power cable. I used some posi-lock but the connection seems to be a bit 50/50 for some reason/ I got a few crimp splice locks to hand.

Any sugggestions?

Yep,probably even more suitable for automotive applications

Thinking about it wago connectors are a good choice for automotive connections as the spring pressure on the cables will not be affected by vibrations

But these don't "splice" into an existing cable?

cut the cable, strip insulation, one side into one hole other side into another hole and tap into third. jobs a good 'un!

Run a wire from a nearby fusebox (eg o/s door pillar) with a piggy back fuse connector - no need to cut any wire

Not keen on those 'Scotchlok' type splices personally, although admittedly they are easy to use.
